The National 9/11 Flag

The Lincoln Flag Patch, The blue thread was taken from the flag that was under Lincoln's head after he was shot.

The front row were the Veterans that were honored today, the ones in the back are all the Veterans that showed up.

Holy Humor

A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter.

Then he put a note under the windshield wiper that read: "I have circled the block 10 times. If I don't park here, I'll miss my appointment. Forgive us our trespasses."

When he returned, he found a citation from a police officer along with this note "I've circled this block for 10 years. If I don't give you a ticket, I'll lose my job. Lead us not into temptation."

While driving in Pennsylvania, a family caught up to an Amish carriage. The owner of the carriage obviously had a sense of humor, because attached to the back of the carriage was a hand printed sign... "Energy efficient vehicle: Runs on oats and grass. Caution: Do not step in exhaust."

A Sunday school teacher began her lesson with a question, "Boys and girls, what do we know about God?"

A hand shot up in the air. "He's an artist!" said the kindergarten boy.

"Really? How do you know?"

"You know - Our Father, who does art in Heaven....."

People want the front of the bus, the back of the church, and the center of attention.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

Been awhile. It has been a life altering few months.
Two trips to Scottsdale, Arizona to the Mayo clinic and this is what my husband has been diagnosed with.
We were told over a year ago that it was Parkinson's. He was progressing way to fast for it to be Parkinson's, so we decided to go out on our own and find someone to help us. Dr. Evidente is the best neurologist and we would recommend him in a heart beat.
PSP is not curable or treatable and progresses rather fast. It is an older persons disease just like Parkinson's, very rare for young people to get it.
The average life span after dx is 5-9 yrs. WOW right.
So what is PSP? It is neurodegenerative brain disease. It affects nerve cells that control walking, balance, mobility, vision, speech and swallowing.
WOW right. I know.
My husband has been very courageous. He is still able to work, with alot of adjustments, walks with a walker and cane. He gets frustrated alot because the meds sometimes don't kick in. Which means no driving, stiffness and super off balance.
If alls we have together are 9 more years, they will be the best, most loving years of our lives. I will love him for the rest of my life.
I ask for prayers, for us and for the other families who are going thru the same thing.

1. How did you meet your husband? We met at Sonic in 1996
2. How did you choose the names for your children? I don't have any children.
3. What is a life lesson you wish your children would learn without experience? All life lessons should be experienced.
4. What is the one book you could read over and over again and why? Angelwalk- makes you sit up and think. Then question how you are living your life and whether you are living it the way God wants you to.
5. What/when/where was your favorite family vacation? Florida, 2004, Jim worked alot of overtime so we could take the kids to Disneyland. We had a blast and did everything.
6. When you were 17, what did you see yourself doing? Is it what you are doing now?At 17 I wasn't worried about what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I traveled.
7. Books or movies? Why? I have to choose? No it's to hard I don't want to choose.
8. How has God blessed you recently? Showed me that he has a plan, I don't know what it is but he is in control.

I love my little Thither.

She is so great. I want to be her when I grow up.
Thither is a wonderful wife, mother, friend, teacher, Thither(sister).
I wouldn't know what to do without her. She has helped me thru alot of things. She has been there for me thru thick and thin.
