Went out to the ranch today with Ron and Dr. They went shooting with there pretty guns and I went shooting with my new camera (which I LOVE). Ok so some of these pictures are of cow poo. I find it very fascinating how it comes out in all different shapes. The bones are very cool also. Then of course the scenery. I love taking pictures. This is just a few of the 286 pictures that I took.

Just got back from camp and still a little emotional. It is truly an honor to serve these kids.

I did learn a few things. I learned how to do the Dougie, and found out I can't break dance. Which was a major disappointment, Thither on the other hand does it very well. lol

I also learned that your heart can get bigger and break over and over and you still survive.

It was a great week, and the temp only got to 40*C. Not to hot when you say it like that.

The Lincoln Flag Patch, The blue thread was taken from the flag that was under Lincoln's head after he was shot.

The front row were the Veterans that were honored today, the ones in the back are all the Veterans that showed up.

A minister parked his car in a no-parking zone in a large city because he was short of time and couldn't find a space with a meter.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

Been awhile. It has been a life altering few months.
Two trips to Scottsdale, Arizona to the Mayo clinic and this is what my husband has been diagnosed with.
We were told over a year ago that it was Parkinson's. He was progressing way to fast for it to be Parkinson's, so we decided to go out on our own and find someone to help us. Dr. Evidente is the best neurologist and we would recommend him in a heart beat.
PSP is not curable or treatable and progresses rather fast. It is an older persons disease just like Parkinson's, very rare for young people to get it.
The average life span after dx is 5-9 yrs. WOW right.
So what is PSP? It is neurodegenerative brain disease. It affects nerve cells that control walking, balance, mobility, vision, speech and swallowing.
WOW right. I know.
My husband has been very courageous. He is still able to work, with alot of adjustments, walks with a walker and cane. He gets frustrated alot because the meds sometimes don't kick in. Which means no driving, stiffness and super off balance.
If alls we have together are 9 more years, they will be the best, most loving years of our lives. I will love him for the rest of my life.
I ask for prayers, for us and for the other families who are going thru the same thing.

1. How did you meet your husband? We met at Sonic in 1996
2. How did you choose the names for your children? I don't have any children.
3. What is a life lesson you wish your children would learn without experience? All life lessons should be experienced.
4. What is the one book you could read over and over again and why? Angelwalk- makes you sit up and think. Then question how you are living your life and whether you are living it the way God wants you to.
5. What/when/where was your favorite family vacation? Florida, 2004, Jim worked alot of overtime so we could take the kids to Disneyland. We had a blast and did everything.
6. When you were 17, what did you see yourself doing? Is it what you are doing now?At 17 I wasn't worried about what I was going to do with the rest of my life. I traveled.
7. Books or movies? Why? I have to choose? No it's to hard I don't want to choose.
8. How has God blessed you recently? Showed me that he has a plan, I don't know what it is but he is in control.

I turned 42 yesterday. I love my age and I love who I am.

But this year my age really affected me. Why?
I am feeling so old. My heart hurts, my mind is tired, my body is falling apart.

I find myself so uncontent, (is that a word?). I am sitting here wondering what I have done with my life. I hate that because I wouldn't change anything. Well except treat my body better and the ability to have babies. But if I did that aren't I second guessing God?

Is this my mid life crisis? If so it sucks.

Oh well life goes on and we just keep getting older.

Now is the time to take charge and make the most of your life. Treat yourself and others better. Love the life you have and the choices you have made.

I am sitting here as I do every year around this time wondering if I am ready for my missions trip.

Every year I go to RFKC (Royal Family Kids Camp) It's a camp for neglected and abused kids. I question myself whether I will be a good servant for the kids.

I am a Christian, not a good one, but I know who I belong to. I can't quote you bible verses, I can't pray out loud, and most of the time ok all the time I have a potty mouth. I take the easy way and probably disappoint God alot.

But I know deep down this is what I was meant to do. My calling and I believe this whole heartedly is to help kids. To help raise other peoples children. I have to believe this. Because I am not able to have children of my own. This is it. To give these children one week of fun and to show them God is with them and feels their pain.

Every Year I question this. Am I going to do more harm than good. Will I say the right thing? Will I be open to God? Will I let him in to help the kids? Am I strong enough? Will I let the past in and do harm. Not physical harm, but mental harm. If I let my past in will it effect me and how I treat the kids.

I love going to camp and I get rewarded everytime I see the children smile and play and forget their home life for the week or even for an hour. It lightens my heart. It gives me such joy. It breaks my heart.

So as you are sitting here reading my post, please pray for the children who are abused and neglected. Pray for the parents that they will get help. Pray for the foster parents. Pray for the volunteers of RFKC. Just PRAY.

As of this month there are over 6,000 children being abused in one county alone.

Been awhile

I know it's been awhile. You guys out there are just dying to know what I have been up to.

Well nothing really. Work. Now since I have quit my job really nothing. Actually this is my 1st full day without a job.

I have alot of plans to declutter. Reorganize. CLEAN.

Sounds like fun doesn't it? I can't wait. I love to clean. If I had the energy I would have a spotless house. I would have everything in it's place every second of every day.

Back to the real world. UGH. When you live with three guys that is just NOT going to happen. Oh well I have my dreams.

4th of July is right around the corner and can't wait. Every year for the past 5 yrs we camp out in moms back yard. Alot of food, swimming and just being with the family. Saturday we are going to have a talent night. Should be a blast. I just love my family. We have such a good time in moms back yard.

At the end of the month we have camp. So glad I get to go this year. I can't wait.

The 1st week in Aug we get to go on Vacation. Should be fun. I will get to add a couple more states. And the pictures I will get to take, to excited for words.

Doc (my dog) has changed so much from when I got him. He is so fun. He still has his moments when he shys away from us but not as often. I think he realizes we won't hurt him like his last family. Can't wait to see how he will react to the 4th. Hopefully it won't freak him out.

Jim left for work on Friday afternoon. But it was payday, so instead of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying and playing golf with the boys and spending his entire paycheck.
When he finally appeared at home on Sunday night, the old geezer was confronted by his angry wife and was barraged for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions.
Finally his wife stopped the nagging and said to him, "how would you like it if you didn't see me for two or three days?" He replied, "That would be fine with me."
Monday went by and he didn't see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results. But on Thursday, the swelling went down just enough where he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

I have become a little older since I saw you last, and a few changes have come into my life since then. Frankly, I have become a frivolous old gal. I am seeing five gentleman everyday.

As soon as I wake up, Will Power helps me get out of bed. Then I go to see John. Then Charlie Horse comes along, and when he is here he takes a lot of my time and attention. When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows up and stays the rest of the day. He doesn't like to stay in one place very long, so he takes me from joint to joint. After such a busy day, I'm really tired and glad to go to bed with Ben Gay.

What a life. Oh yes, I'm also flirting with Al Zymer.

Two Boys

A couple had two little boys, ages 8 and 10, who were excessively mischievous. They were always getting into trouble and their parents knew that, if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons were probably involved.

The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys.
The clergyman agreed, but asked to see them individually.
So, the mother sent her 8 year old in first that morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon.

The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, "Where is God?'

The boys mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open, wide eye.
So the clergyman repeated the question in an even sterner tone, "Where is
God!!?"

Again the boy made no attempt to answer.
So the clergyman raised his voice even more and shook his finger in the boys face and bellowed, "WHERE IS GOD!?"

The boy screamed and bolted from the room, ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him.
When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, "What happened?"

The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied, "We are in
BIG trouble this time, dude. God is missing- and they think WE did it.!"

So the question is, If you could change the past would you?

Would you change the bad thing that happened to you? Would you change the past to make life easier? To make the evil go away?

What if you were molested in a horrible barn? Would you change it? At the time you take yourself away, it's how we survive the bad times. You throw it out of your mind afterwords. Until one day it crawls into your mind and throws your whole world out of whack.

At 9 you still have to make choices, right. Not to go into the barn when you have a bad feeling. If not me, maybe he would have gone after my little sister. Wasn't beyond his sick mind I'm sure.

So 32 years later it has crawled out again. I wish I could go back and change what happened. No, I guess I really wouldn't. I wouldn't be who I am without it.

I know now and then, if we are to be honest, he was evil. He was...... I feel sick and scared all over again.

So would you change the past? Consider if you did, what would happen. You would change more than that one event. You wouldn't be who you are. Maybe it would happen to someone else and totally destroy them.

Don't you think God knew what he was doing? Don't you think God was right there, holding you and crying with you. Don't you think that he had a plan for you?

Christmas Present... It was the day after Christmas at a church in San Francisco.
The pastor of the church was looking over the cradle when he noticed that the baby Jesus was missing from among the figures.
Immediately he turned and went outside and saw a little boy with a red wagon, and in the wagon was the figure of the infant, Jesus.
So he walked up to the boy and said,"well, where did you get him, my friend?" The boy replied "I got him from the church" "And why did you take him?"
The boy said, "well about a week before Christmas I prayed to the little Lord Jesus and I told him if he would bring me a red wagon for Christmas i would give him a ride around the block in it."

Pitty Party

Pitty Party here I come.

I have been going thru a rough patch this last week. I do this every so often. Nothing but a pitty party really. I just can't seem to shake it.

On Thursday we had a Christmas party at TOPS and low and behold we have a 2 week old baby there.

Eveywhere I turn there seems to be pregnant women. UGH!

As Jim was cleaning out the book shelf and rearranging stuff he came upon our Adoption book. All our papers, questionaires, books. OMW why didn't we throw those out? And why did he pick this day, this week to find them.

A sign from God telling me to get over it already? Or is he just trying to help? Either way my heart cracked open a little for what I can never have.

I envy those people who can have kids and treasure that gift and I detest those who can have them but shouldn't.

How wrong does that make me? Do you think God will forgive me for this?

Told you it was a pitty party.

I think I will go cry for awhile.

To those couples who are pregnant or already have children. Treasure them, love them and treat them with care. You don't know how lucky you are to have them.

I know you guys just sit on the edge of your seats just waiting for me to post. LOL
I have been a little busy and a little down.

My hubby was just officially diagnosed with Parkinson's last week. We went up to Ks City and met with DR. NO BED SIDE MANNER YOU ARE STUPID SO I MUST TALK DOWN TO YOU. UGH. (Thank you Thither and Steve for going with us).

Anywho I have been feeling sorry for myself because he is not able to work until he gets the balance thing fixed and I am the only one working. We lost our Ins. and his meds are pretty expensive.

I just can't get my mind gripped around this thing. I can't figure out how to work in another job on top of the one I have. Not in a small town anyway.

I am trying to plan for the future and the help he is going to need and can't do it.

It just makes me angry to be honest.

Anyway, Good news, I am now 100 + days smoke free.

I set out today with my camera to check on a spot mom and I want 4 seasons on. I thought if it was a go i would go get mom and we could snap some pics. Well The leafs aren't quite there yet. And I got a little carried away.
Today was a little cold (27) and windy to be doing this, but I had such a good and relaxing time.

I woke up thinking of my thither.
Words can not describe how Much I love her.
She has been with me thru some really bad times.
I wouldn't have made it thru without her undying support and Love.
She was there for me when I lost my sister, when I couldn't get pregnant. Well she has been there for everything.
There is also good times. Camping in Red Rock, getting hit on by those two guys, I think they were hitting on thither the most. Going to the Zoo in St. Louis with our hats (you know the ones) and freezing our tails off. Come to think of it we froze our tails off camping to. What were we thinking of going in Oct?
She is the place I go to when I have had to much of this life and lets me escape. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
I Love being with her. Her spirit just lightens my moods. And anyone she comes in contact with. That is unless you are a Very Bad parker. Then you better watch out.
She is a great mother and has taught those girls the value of life and to love GOD.

I love you thither. I cherish every day we have in this life together.

As some of you know I started a diet.
On 3-1-09 I started the Nu Lean cleanse.
It a great diet. You take a protein shake, a body cleanse and burn capsules. Then only eat cucumbers, celery and raw almonds twice a day for 2 days then you get to have a 300-400 calorie meal for 3 days, then back on the veggies. The 1st day about killed me then it got easier. You only do the diet for 7 days.
I lost 6 lbs and 12 3/4"
I haven't had a pop in 2 weeks. I haven't had any candy in 1 1/2 weeks. I walk 2to 3 miles everyday and I feel pretty darn good.
On 3-22 I do it again only this time I stop smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I get rid of the coffee for good. Ok I know that sounds extreme but If I want to be healthy it calls for extreme measures.
I don't need the cigs or the coffee. They are only causing toxins in my body. Who needs that when I breathe the air. I get enough that way.
I like the way I feel.
I like that I am doing something active to keep me alive for a long time.
I like the fact that I lost 5 1/2 inches off my huge thighs. EACH!!!
I have been told that my body is a temple and that it is on loan to me from God.
If that is true then man did I take advantage of this gift. Ugh.

We should be treating ourselves so much better then we do, Don't you think?
I am on a mission and that is to loose 100 more pounds. I need to start treating my body better. Stop destroying what God has given me and start cherishing it.

This duck was in our next door neighbors yard. I don't think it was hurt but man it didn't want to go anywhere.
We looked for eggs and found none. I think she was lost.
When she was still there at lunch we (Ron and I) decieded to gather her up and take her to the park and release her. We could have left her alone but we have very mean cats in the neighborhood.

I'm afraid today I am feeling sorry for myself.
It hits me now and again. I'm sure alot of people feel this way.
I got to hold a week old baby yesterday. :(
I could just feel my insides balling up and screaming at me. They don't understand why they could not have a baby. They don't understand why this was denied to them. And frankly I don't either. You think you comes to terms with it and then out of nowhere it hits you.
WHY? WHY? WHY?
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY NOT.
I shouldn't be questioning it I know that. Don't you think I don't know that? I'm human and I want to know why?
I would be a good mother, I have a loving husband, a job, all the love in the world to give to a child of my own.
I long to have someone call me mom and not feel guilty about it. Is that wrong?
No I don't think that is to much to ask.
But it is since it's not my lot in life.
I love my step-son's with all my heart and I am glad I got to be a part of their lives. That they let me in, and love me. They are the BEST.
I love you guys and Thank you for a wonderful 12 years.

I know Christmas is over.
I have been so busy with work and getting presents made that I haven't had time to post.
I am finally done with the presents!!!!!! Yeah for me.
This year like everyother year my family gets together on New Years day to celabrate Christmas. I love these years because it gives me an extra week to finish the gifts.
I definately needed it this year.

Thanksgiving was at my house this year. What fun that was. We had alot of good food and great company. Ok they were family, it was a good day.
I have to bow down to thither for taking more pictures than me that day, usually I blow her away. I only got about 250 to her 300. I guess we can see who did all the work that day. HAHAHAHAHA:)

Every year the girls in the family get together and make crafts. We find things we like then make them ourselves for Christmas.
This was different. We all had big projects already going. Blanket,hats etc....
So we just decieded that is what we would work on.
We are usually pretty good about getting things done, except poor thiser since it's at her house and she has 4 young ones. We did alot of eating and horsing around.
This year she is the only one who finshed something, well the neices did.

My siser and I have a really hard time with this.
She called me yesterday while having lunch with our dad at Applebes. She said I have dad on one side and guess who on the other? I just started laughing knowing that Applebees has pictures of famous people on their walls. She was just thinking God she didn't notice it while she was eating. Our dad and Harrison Ford have alot of the same mannerism. We think Harrison Ford is HOT and is getting hotter as he ages.
This causes us alot of problems. We think we need therapy because we think Harrison Ford is hot and remindes us alot of our dad.
How wrong is that?

Poor baby!! He said earlier that he hasn't been sleeping very well. He fell asleep on the couch watching Ghost Hunters. I don't want to wake him to send him off to bed, but he is going to wake up hurting if I don't.
I am glad he came home tho. I have missed him.

I went to Dallas this last weekend for a Seminar and it was great.
I learned alot and plan on using it in the office.
I did get to see my best bud Yvonne which truly made the trip. Meagan is 11 do you see how tall she is? They are great kids. Matty is a luvy. I got all sorts of kisses.
I did learn that staying in a hotel by yourself sucks the big one.
Good trip tho.

Have you heard of them?
It's a christian singing group. They are wonderful!!
I can't seem to get enough of them.
They have made me think.
What am I doing with this gift of life?
NOTHING!
I am taking advantage of everything that I have been given.
I have taken advantage of my body and soul. I have let people take advantage of me.
I have trashed my body and have real concern for my soul.
I believe in God and what he has done for me. I believe I will go to heaven when I die.
Is that enough? I don't know. I have been in major turmoil for awhile. I just didn't realize it until I listened to 33 miles. No group has touched me so much, or has made me question my way of life, and my decisions.
How do I fix this?
I know I am suppose to give everything to him. But how and not hang onto it.
I have to learn how to forgive the hurt in my heart. I have to let it go, but how. When I think I have given it to him it comes back. Does that mean he wants me to deal with it? If so HOW?
I'm not ready to face the people who have cut my heart out. It's easier to just ignore it. It's not the thing to do I know that. But what if they don't care about what they have done. What if they don't realize how much pain they have caused me? And what if they do and just don't care because it is easier for them to ignore it to.
I have lost a very important person in my life and I want them back. I truly do, but it could never be the same. That is killing me. I miss them terribly!
I know I need to be closer to God. I know what I have to do to get there.
There is a God and he is wonderful! I feel like I have let my father down and it is killing me.
I have never really felt like this before. This turmoil. This need to make everything right, with the two people who have hurt me. One, I can't be in the same room with, without getting nightmares of what he did to me in the barn. The second, I don't know, I have been in the same room with and ache for things to be right between us and know they never will be unless, unless what I don't know.
33 miles did this for me or to me I don't know. I thank them. Because they have made me think. They have made me realize maybe for the first time that he is here with me thru everything and has carried me when I didn't realize I needed to be carried.
They have also given me peace. Not alot but something I am trying to keep and let grow.
Please pray for me.
Please pray that I get the strength I need to do the right thing with my life and my soul.

Do you like your pickels fried?
If so here is a very simple receipe.
First thing to know I don't measure when I cook.
Take pickels (you can use any varity you like, I used the spears) and dry them on a paper towel. While they are drying put batter together.
Turn your fryer to 350 degrees.
Take your pancake batter,1 egg,and water and mix well try to get all lumps out.
You want the batter thick so it will stick to the pickel. If you do a regular jar of pickels it does not take alot of batter. I made way to much. You can always make more batter.
I added a little seasoning salt after the batter was mixed.
I fried them for about 3 mins.
When they are golden brown I then put them out on a paper towel.
Serve with ranch dressing

Fried tortilla chips.
Turn fryer on to 350 degrees.
Cut totilla shells (burritos) into big bite size pieces.
Fry tortilla chips for about 10-15 secs. or until golden brown.
Drain them on paper towels and salt when warm.
Serve with Salsa or cheese dip
